About Me

“Whatever you are, be a good one.” – Abraham Lincoln

Hello fellow rockstars! My name is Alex and I’m a 20-something year-old trying to figure out this thing called adulthood. I graduated from Temple University in 2012 with a degree in Strategic Communication, public relations focus and minors in Psychology and Spanish.  I thought I had everything figured out and knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life. Then, the universe stepped in and threw several curve balls my way. After a whirlwind summer of many adjustments, I ended up working at a large corporate company, in their Learning & Development group.

The past years have been a growing experience, where I’ve learned more about myself and the world then I ever could have imagined. This blog explores those experiences, both personal and professional. I still have my eyes on the ultimate prize of running my own business one day. However, I am finally comfortable to admit that I’m not 100 percent sure what I want in life. Luckily, I’ve been given the opportunity to figure it out. Still, working for the New York Giants or the Olympics would be pretty awesome!

I was living in New Jersey with my large Italian family. Thanks to them, I’ve learned how to negotiate and resolve conflict at a young age. Now I’m back in Philadelphia and couldn’t be happier! You can usually find me tweeting, dancing and singing my heart out or hanging out with my two favorite kids, my sister and brother. I will forever be a city girl who works hard and plays hard. I don’t believe that good things happen to those who wait; good things happen to those who want it so bad they can’t sit still. I do believe in paying it forward, pedicures, jam sessions and being insanely passionate. I also collect an unhealthy amount of quotes.

My blog has morphed into a lifestyle blog: the roller coaster journey of a young adult trying to land with her feet on the ground. Thanks for taking a ride with me and I appreciate any feedback you might have.
